The Permanent Mission of Tanzania to the UN

An integrated facility serving Tanzania's UN delegation, the Consulate General in New York, and the Tourist Development office. Located in a two story penthouse, the large entry area is defined by central skylights above that flood the space with natural light. A connecting corridor doubles as a gallery used to showcase Tanzanian artists. An adjacent boardroom can combine with the entry area and gallery to provide a large event space for major diplomatic functions. The interiors project an image that is a contemporary  version of the country's African visual traditions.
